Akagi Nyugyo Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Akagi) is a well-known manufacturer of ice cream headquartered in Fukaya, Saimata Pref. Recently JBS provided Akagi with implementation support for migrating the old groupware and mail software to Microsoft Office 365. Akagi started Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Lync Online in Jan. 2015. JBS proposed and installed HDE One to strenthen the security for Office 365.
HDE One provides additional security services for Office 365.The services can deliver highly sophisticated email security through features; prevent accidentally sending an email to unintended recipients, encrypt file attachment, deliver email by time lag, archive entire email messages, provide greater managerial control over email policies, all into a single service. The exclusively developed secure browser allows safe access to cloud-based services from devices. Because viewed information is not left in the devices, the risk of information leakage due to devices theft or loss can be minimized. Access Security features the additional access control functions including IP restriction and two-factor authentication functions.

Akagi had been using the old groupware for internal communication and separate e-mail system for external communication for more than a decade. This migration took place in order to change the work style within the company. As the new work style involves security risks, Akagi asked JBS for advice on how to minimize the information leakage or illegal access risks.

HDE One

Office 365 as a platform for sharing information helped stimulate internal communication. The license scheme of the old groupware prevented Akagi from giving ids to all employees. But with this new groupware Akagi was able to assign ids to all employees. Through Portal the information can be shared among employees and they feel that they work in the same direction with same information.
High technical skills of JBS in Microsoft products and solutions and abundant experiences enabled Akagi to migrate smoothly to SharePoint. In addition to 50 content categories strictly selected and converted from more than 100 content categories on the previous groupware, Akagi put 20 content categories newly to the SharePoint. With HDE One the security for Office 365 was strengthened without too much work and time.
