JBS Showcase
Japan Business Systems, Inc.
JBS built optimal virtualization environment on its own and cut management man-day on the infrastructure using multiple vendor solutions while keeping high security.
JBS was concerned about information leakage or viral infection by loss and theft of FAT clients our employees use and in need of reducing the management man-day for client device management.
JBS started a VDI project using VMware Horizon and VMware NSX to resolve these issues. JBS used "EMC XtremIO" and "EMC Isilon" for VDI storages because of the high and flexible scalability to achieve the similar response time as FAT clients. As for security JBS installed Trend Micro "Deep Security," which isolates infected clients automatically by linking with VMware NSX. It also enabled us to reduce the operational load substantially for keeping security.
VDI environment built by combining products of three companies contributed to the strengthening of security as well as the reduction of operational load. In this VDI configuration data is not stored in the local PC. Therefore even in case devices are lost or stolen, the risk for information leakage can be at the minimal level. The investment can be recovered in three years after the installation because the load for setting up the PCs or recovery tasks in the security incident are eliminated.
JBS has successfully deployed VDI devices for 2,000 employees within group companies, which makes our proposal to our customers even more convincing. We're able to show our VDI environment for a real show case and demonstration.
