Career Counseling
JBS has a Career Counseling Room to assist employees with autonomous career development through one-on-one meetings with expert counselors.
All counselors are government-certified and can advise employees not only on their future careers, but various issues such as balancing work with childcare or home nursing care, and communication in the workplace. Counselors support employees to take personal charge of making decisions to design and develop their careers in accordance with their individual situation.
Career Declaration System
The Career Declaration System provides a foundation on which every employee can feel motivated to work with enthusiasm.
First, an employee declares their own career vision (career plan). Next, they hold meetings with their superiors to receive support, advice, and feedback towards the realization of their career vision. (Utilizing the in-house public recruitment system, FA system, and Career Counseling as needed.)
This increases opportunities for dialogue that gives consideration to the employee’s career vision, and by enhancing in-house systems, we can support each and every employee to realize their ideal career.
Related Systems
In-House Public Recruitment System
Departments that require additional personnel can recruit employees in-house, and employees who apply can transfer to the new department by mutual agreement through this system. We also occasionally open in-house application opportunities for postings to overseas JBS offices (mainly in English-speaking countries).
FA (Free Agent) System
This system allows an employee to directly reach out to the department they wish to join, and be transferred upon mutual consent.
Career Design Workshop
We hold Career Design Workshops for employees to think proactively about their own career development.
Through a training program, employees reflect on their own characteristics, strengths, and abilities and envision the person they wish to become. Additionally, employees of a similar generation can discuss their future life plans in preparation for changes in their environment, leading to wide-ranging careers.
