JBS and Otaru City, Hokkaido, Conclude Partnership Agreement for Dispatch and Acceptance of Digital Human Resources

Japan Business Systems, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: Yukihiro Makita; securities code: 5036) today announced the conclusion of a Partnership Agreement for Dispatch and Acceptance of Digital Human Resources with Otaru City, Hokkaido (Mayor: Toshiya Hazama; hereinafter “Otaru City”). JBS will provide support so that City officials can implement digitalization effectively and efficiently, and in so doing assist in local government efforts to realize digital transformation.

While there is a strong demand for local governments to utilize the latest technologies to improve convenience for residents and enhance administrative services. In Japan, the shortage of IT-related human resources has become a social issue, and there are many cases where although the importance of DX is understood, it has yet to be addressed.

JBS has assisted many of our customers in promoting DX by creating organizational structures, developing human resources, and establishing a digital environment that enables them to maximize the benefits of DX. As a long-standing partner of Microsoft, JBS specializes in shifting operations to the cloud, utilizing Microsoft cloud services like Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure. Leveraging our experience in digital human resources dispatch at Date City, Hokkaido, which we launched in June 2023, we are engaging in dialogue with City officials and supporting the promotion of DX, with a view to helping in work style reforms and further enhancing the living environment for City residents.
