JBS and Veeam Strengthen Collaboration for Providing Highly Resilient Data Protection Solutions

(Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: Yukihiro Makita; hereinafter, “JBS” securities code: 5036) announces it is to strengthen collaboration with Veeam Software Japan (Headquarters: Chuo Ward, Tokyo; President and Executive Officer: Masakiyo Furudate; hereinafter, “Veeam”) towards developing data protection solutions with high resilience to realize swift recovery after various failures such as cyberattacks. Given that having a diverse cloud environment even within a single company is now becoming the norm, how to protect data is becoming an issue. Through this collaboration, we will launch the ideal Veeam x JBS data protection model for the hybrid multi-cloud era to support the business continuity of companies.

In recent years, the use of cloud computing by companies is expanding and the use of on-premises and cloud hybrid environments and multi-cloud environments is becoming increasingly common. While in the past data could be protected by backing up in-house systems, in the case of cloud computing in-house management is difficult, and additionally, in a hybrid/multi-cloud environment in which diverse systems are intermixed, data and data management are becoming siloed, and there are more than a few companies that are concerned about how to handle each environment.
Against this backdrop cyberattacks are becoming more elaborate and sophisticated, and we are in a situation in which security risks are always close by. In addition to data protection measures in preparation for cyberattacks, a backup environment from which we can safely and speedily recover data when attacked is therefore required.

Additionally, they possess a strong data resilience and can check the data damage situation of target data for certain when restoring backups, along with being able to safely restore data. As multi-cloud vendor JBS launches data protection solutions for hybrid/multi-cloud environments along with Veeam, we expect that together we will be able to contribute greatly to the business continuity of Japanese companies.
